Cardinal
Since red is my favorite color, these birds are of course a favorite at my feeders. The brilliant red of the male cardinal is where the bird gets its name, and the females are a more rusty reddish brown. These birds have a pronounced crest of feathers on top of their heads and they will raise or lower them depending on their mood.
